Caladrius, or the Bird of Kings

The Caladrius is the bird of true kings, the one who sees beyond the flesh and reads the truth within the soul. Its gaze decides rebirth or downfall. It is the white bird that carries illness toward the sun so that it may be burned, transmuted, and returned to the light.

The Cyclical Passage and the Stellar Light

The Caladrius heals through the light it bears. It is guided by the light of the sun, Mars, and Venus. From Venus it borrows beauty and healing; from Mars, its inner fire, the most favorable to the development of the spirit, which is the hidden principle of the egg. And finally, from the reeds, which belong to the realm of breath and purification.

The Pleiades guide the soul through their light. They are its counterpart, the place where souls are reborn. They mark the return of spring and the beginning of the harvest, the end of one cycle and the beginning of another. The Pleiades are the guardians of the celestial garden. They symbolize the reopening of the world; they are the sky to which the Caladrius carries illness.
